A centralized architecture for autonomic quality of experience oriented handover in dense networks

چکیده

This paper presents an Optimised Handover (HO) Algorithm for Dense Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs) based on a novel architecture of Software Defined Network (SDWN). The work has been designed to be effective in large network environments with high density Access Points (APs) and stations, which increase the chances Ping-Pong HO effect. Specifically, it considers Quality Experience (QoE) by applying optimised algorithm WLANs, relies Fuzzy Logic Control Theory (FLCT) combined Adaptive Hysteresis Values (AHVs). SDWN allows monitor manage networks autonomously programme APs through centralized controller. includes also detailed performance analysis developed SDWN-based simulator implemented OPNET. our achieved promising results compared state art terms QoE, throughput, delay reduction ping-pong
